CMPND Finds
The 1%.

Why CMPND exists.

Your data already contains the answer. Most people just don't know how to read it.

We do, because we have spent a decade doing this across industries with actuarial precision.

We will show you what success looks like before we start, build the system to get you there, and make sure it compounds long after we are done.

1 - The Problem

Most businesses grow linearly. Few compound.

We've watched founders sprint for six months and land exactly where they started. The work got done. Nothing about the business changed shape.

→ 1

Wrong focus

Most teams optimise what's visible. We keep finding the real lever sitting untouched in the data, not on the roadmap.

→ 2

No structure to build on

Projects get delivered and nothing changes. Six months later you're paying a different agency for the same deck.

→ 3

Insight without action

Reports get built and nobody acts on them. The gap between analysis and behaviour is where most consultancies stop, and where the value actually lives.

Businesses already compounding.

2 - The CMPND Method

Three steps. Built to run.

Strategy decks gather dust. We build infrastructure that runs and improves without us in the room.

1 Step 1 - Find

Find the signal

We read your cohort curves, retention data and revenue leakage to find where the leverage actually sits, not where it looks like it sits.

2 Step 2 - Build

Design the system

We build the loyalty mechanics, incentive design and automation that act on what we found. Things that run without manual intervention.

3 Step 3 - Compound

Measure what lasts

We model the economics first, using leading indicators instead of vanity metrics, so you know what good looks like before you spend a rand.

3 - From our founder

Actuaries are trained to find the thing everyone else is missing.

I grew up obsessed with why things work the way they do. Not just what the number is, but what it means, what it's hiding, and what happens next if you're wrong about it.

Actuarial training gave me a framework for that obsession: build the model before you form an opinion. The assumption everyone treats as obvious is usually the one that breaks everything. The most valuable thing I can tell a business is what their data is actually saying, even when it's not what they hoped to hear.

I spent over a decade doing that inside some of the largest financial institutions and technology companies in the world. Building behaviour change systems, loyalty programmes, pricing models, customer intelligence infrastructure. Always the same question underneath it all: where is the real leverage hiding, and what would it take to compound it?

The rigour didn't change. The problems just got more interesting.

4 - What We Build

Three capabilities. One firm.

Each capability stands alone. Together they form the operating system most businesses are missing. Select a capability to see how it works.

We work with founders and operators across hospitality, financial services, insurance, retail, investment management, property, education and community platforms.

Most clients come to us with the same problem in different clothes: data nobody's using, customers leaving for reasons nobody's tracked, or work that never builds on itself. If that's you, this is what CMPND is built for.

We map where the leverage is hiding, from cohort behaviour to pricing and revenue leakage. Actuarial-grade analysis before the roadmap.

5 - The Mathematics

What 1% actually looks like.

A pricing model that adjusts itself. A retention curve that gets steeper each quarter instead of resetting. A process that holds the gain instead of losing it the moment you look away.

Linear effort
1.00×

Fix one thing this month. Fix another next month. Nothing connects them, so nothing builds.

A system that holds
1.00×

Fix one thing, and it changes what the next fix is worth. Retention compounds into pricing, and pricing into acquisition.

This is what happens when the fixes talk to each other.

6 - Selected Work

Outcome-led, not credential-led.

A sample of engagements where we built the system, not just designed it.

Hospitality

Neighbourgood

What we builtNeighbourgood runs 10+ short-stay properties with guest data scattered across booking platforms and no shared view of lifetime value. We built a customer intelligence foundation, modelled guest LTV economics, and shipped a loyalty MVP to convert one-time bookings into repeat stays.

Property Services

Mafadi

What we builtEnd-to-end operational and data engagement for a residential property management business. Surfaced revenue leakage in maintenance billing and vacancy turnaround cycles. Built a tenant retention framework tracking the full lifecycle from onboarding through renewal, and designed SOPs across key operational workflows. Implemented a reporting layer that flags early churn signals at a property level before they become vacancies.

Property Rental

Room King

What we builtData and operations engagement for an online residential rental platform. Identified critical drop-off in the tenant acquisition funnel and modelled retention across the booking-to-lease journey. Mapped end-to-end operational processes, built workflow documentation and SOPs, and designed a property-level reporting structure tracking occupancy, revenue and early churn signals across the portfolio.

Alternative Investment

Confidential Client

What we builtInvestors had no self-serve way to see their holdings or performance, and reporting was assembled manually for each request. We built investor CRM and portal infrastructure with a reporting framework attached, so investors get real-time visibility and the team stops rebuilding the same report by hand.

What we builtTeneo needed students more engaged in participation and results, without turning it into an expensive rewards giveaway. We built a behaviour-change programme tying participation and academic results directly to rewards, priced so the shift in behaviour paid for itself.

7 - How We Work

Three ways to engage.

Each model is built for a different stage. We'll tell you honestly which one fits.

Retained Advisory

Embedded thinking. Monthly cadence.

Ongoing strategic engagement. Embedded thinking without the headcount cost. For teams that need a partner inside the work, not a vendor outside it.

Project Sprint

Defined scope. Defined outcome.

Fixed timeline. Clear deliverable. We scope what good looks like before we start, so the answer to "did it work?" is unambiguous.

Equity Partnership

Skin in the game.

Selectively, for the right businesses. We back our work with equity when we believe the compounding case is real. By application.
